After his surrender, Vhong Navarro is reportedly set to be transferred to Taguig City Prison.

VHONG NAVARRO – Kapamilya actor and presenter Vhong Navarro is set to be transferred to Taguig City Jail.

In a previous article, actor and TV host Vhong Navarro surrendered voluntarily last September to R#PE charges brought by model Deniece Cornejo in connection with the 2014 incident. He was accused of doing this to Cornejo by “violence, threats and intimidation” and by intentionally intoxicating her.

He has surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). He is currently being held in the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Detention Facility.

Months later, however, he is scheduled to be transferred to Taguig City Jail under the committal order issued by Branch 69 of the Taguig Regional Trial Court. During his transfer, he will be subject to the requirements of the health protocol.

Earlier, Cornejo’s camp had asked to have Navarro jailed.

Navarro’s wife, Tanya Bautista, has previously said she is dreading that day. She worries about her husband’s safety in the city jail. But she’s sure of one thing, she won’t leave his side no matter what.

“Si Vhong, sobrang mahal na mahal ko. Uhm, huwag na huwag mong iisipin na iiwan kita. Lagi na siyang ganyan. Iyon Yung’s greatest fear, Niya,” she shared.

Meanwhile, the 2014 incident involved other figures, leaving Navarro miserable from physical pain. He was previously arrested by Cornejo’s group led by Cedric Lee and some CCTV footage showed Navarro being arrested by the group.

Serious charges of illegal detention were filed against Lee and six others – Deniece Cornejo, Bernice Cua Lee, Simeon Palma Raz Jr., Jose Paolo Gregorio Calma, Sajed Fernandez Abuhijleh and Ferdinand Guerrero.

They threatened Navarro and accordingly demanded Php 2 million to spare his life.
