Marcelito Pomoy visits Jovit Baldivinos Wake in Batangas
MARCELITO POMOY – The big winner of Pilipina’s Got Talent season 2 has revealed and explained why he won’t be able to attend Jovit Baldivino’s funeral.
The sudden death of Pilipina’s Got Talent Season 1 Grand Champion Jovit Baldivino has broken many hearts, especially his family and friends. The singer died at the young age of 29 after suffering a stroke in the first week of December and was diagnosed with a blood clot, a sign of an aneurysm, according to the Baldivino family’s official statement.
It was the second time Jovit suffered a stroke as things came to a head in his death. Amid the recovery process from his first stroke on November 22, the singer was invited to a Christmas party by his friend and couldn’t turn down his fans’ request that he sing. Despite the doctor’s advice, he should not sing or engage in strenuous activities during his recovery.
After singing three (3) songs, Jovit was taken to the hospital. According to his family, he had a stroke and a blood clot was found. He underwent surgery but died in hospital after five (5) days.

One of those deeply saddened by the death of Jovit Baldivino is Marcelito Pomoy, the Season 2 Grand Champion of Pilipina’s Got Talent. The two (2) singers are very close and the latter has been vocal in his thanks for Jovit’s support and help while attending the ABS-CBN network’s reality talent scouting show.

Based on a video posted to ABN Vlog Channel’s Facebook page, Marcelito Pomoy recently attended his dear friend Jovit Baldivino’s wake at their family home in Batangas City. Jovit Baldivino’s funeral is set for December 14, 2022.
During an interview with several media reporters, Marcelito Pomoy was asked if he would attend Jovit Baldivino’s funeral. The PGT Season 2 big winner revealed he really made the most of his visit to his friend’s wake because he can’t attend his funeral. According to the post, Marcelito will fly to Davao on December 13 and have a show there on December 14, the day of Jovit’s funeral in Batangas.
“Kaya sabi ko, ‘Oh my god, ano ba ang nangyayari?’ Tapos hanggang 21 po kasi ‘yung show ko eh so hindi po ako makapunta talaga kaya nilubos-lubos ko na po,” the singer said.
