Magnitude 5.0 earthquake shakes Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News) – A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck Surigao del Sur on Sunday, November 27.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 12:43 p.m

The epicenter was 35 kilometers northeast of Cortes.

The depth of field was 11 kilometers.

The following instrumental intensities have been reported:

Intensity II – Tandag, Surigao del Sur
Intensity I – Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte

Property damage was not reported, but aftershocks were.
