Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tokyo, the stock was up 0.10%.
The top performers of the session were Fujikura Ltd. (TYO:), which is up 5.72% or 59.00 points to trade at 1,091.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Eisai Co.,Ltd. (TYO:) up 5.61% or 465.00 points to close at 8,753.00, and Pacific Metals Co., Ltd. (TYO:) is up 4.26% or 79.00 points to 1,932.00 at the close.
Bringing up the rear of the session were Citizen Holdings Co., Ltd. (TYO:), which is down 6.71% or 40.00 points to trade at 556.00 at the close. Recruit Holdings Co Ltd (TYO:) is down 6.67% or 327.00 points to 4,573.00 and Dentsu Inc. (TYO:) is down 5.96% or 280.00 points to 4,415.00.
By 2019 on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, rising stocks outweighed falling stocks at 1541 and 248 ended flat.
The , which measures Nikkei 225 options implied volatility, fell 2.17% to 19.87, a new 1-month low.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.27% or 0.23 to $85.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.09% or 0.08 to $93.22 a barrel, while the December gold futures contract was up 0.26% or 4.60 to 1,781 $.50 a troy ounce rose.
USD/JPY fell 0.43% to 139.27, while EUR/JPY rose 0.15% to 144.65.
US dollar index futures were down 0.32% to 106.19.
