Indian women call themselves “proudly single”

Ms. Kundu and the women I meet in the Delhi pub are different. They are mostly middle class and include teachers, doctors, lawyers, freelancers, entrepreneurs, activists, writers and journalists. Some are separated or divorced or widowed, others never married.
