The PC gaming ecosystem is easily the largest in the industry with tens of thousands of games available to play. Not only that, unlike Switch or PlayStation, PC doesn’t exactly have a “first-party” publisher, meaning there are few true marquee-exclusive games on the platform. So, of course, this list of the top five PC games of the year includes games that you’ll sometimes (though not always) find elsewhere, but where multiplatform games do appear, we think they’re best played on PC and deserve a spot on this list. This year’s list is diverse again, with a speedrunning gem, an in-depth detective experience and a physics playground all worthy of top spots.
